My wife has been an elementary teacher for going on 7 years now, she is white, and she has never taught in a majority white school district, and it has never mattered to her or her students.

There will always be good kids, and there will always be bad kids, and the color of their skin has absolutely nothing to do with it. Spoiler alert: any and all problems with a child are 110% from parenting (mostly lack of parenting).

The only privilege that may come up in teaching is a first year teacher not yet knowing that they will teach children that quite literally don't know where their next meal will come from, and children that get ZERO interaction from their parents are are basically raised by older siblings. This has nothing to do with color of skin, and they see it in white trash just as often as anywhere else.

Middle class privilege needs to stop being confused for white privilege
