I think he might. Also might ruin future elections if Republicans start thinking this way.

I'm not on either side but I must ask...

Do none of you see the problem with a large portion of the country losing their faith in voting? It shouldn't be seen on par with a carnival game.

Furthermore, do you honestly want one party to either disappear or massively fade? When is it EVER "My side is completely right, the other side is completely stupid and they have absolutely zero to offer!"? The solution is almost always some combination of things from each side.

If Trump tweeting nonsense makes them give up on Democracy and support fascism then they never had faith in voting.

But I agree the fact 70 million Americans do not support Democracy and are happy with dictatorship is a massive terrifying problem and scary as fuck

The Democrats should take full advantage of this. If the right is going to constantly dive off the conspiracy deep end, then use it to your benefit. Spread the misinformation Russia-style and tell Republicans not to vote. Its a win-win: either they stupidly believe it and less people vote, or the right has to start to make a concerted effort to stamp down on conspiracy theories and stop claiming fraud when you lose.

I think that's bad! But the harm of it will come from their reaction to perceived election thefts, and not, as you suggest later on your post, from the GOP fading or losing power. They use that power in dangerous, harmful ways (like, for example, suggesting that this election was fraudulent and thereby causing some supporters to lose faith in democracy, which, we agree, is bad.)

They've been doing this with the "write in Trump" Senate runoff campaign. It'd be humorous if the GOP's unwillingness to call for Trump to concede (due presumably to the belief that Georgia's runoff matters) backfired on them and cost them the Senate.

It is literally impossible to rationalize Trump's response right now in a "both sides" argument.

Trump is lying. Period. End of story.

He has no evidence. His lawsuits have been a fucking shit show. He makes tons of claims on Twitter and never makes those claims in court. He is deliberately undermining trust in the election process because he's a sore loser manchild. Everything else is GOPer justification for his idiotic actions.

If the Republican party losing power is the only thing that comes of this it would be absolutely fucking fantastic. "My side" isn't completely right but I can state with a great deal of certainty that the Republican party has nothing to offer for the vast majority of this country.

No, fuck those sides into the dirt. The two-party system needs to go because it inspires braindead centrist takes like these. The solution is almost never between America'a two parties' agendas.

Centrists are just nihilistic assholes with no critical thinking skills. I have more respect for the "other side" than I do for centrists.

I disagree but I don't think you can reasonably be centrist right now. At least in the sense that centrist is somehow between the Democrat platform and the Republican platform. If you even are willing to give the Republicans the light of day right now, that means you've fallen for their BS. Real centrists are probably well within the Democrat Party right now.

I don't get picking a side when it comes to parties. It's issue to issue. I believe in helping those who need help. Abortion is great. Limiting free speech to save feelings sucks. Expecting the world to fall in your lap after having done little to nothing is bad.

Both sides have things where it comes down to "This is where I agree. This is where you're full of shit." and it typically ends with both sides thinking I'm alright until one of my opinions doesn't line up with their own.
