does your family have any stories about times your parents almost separated before you existed and prevented your birth?

I know at least one time my mom tried to run my dad over with a car. it was kinda like the old classic Simpsons opening when Homer is almost hit by the car in the garage. but on purpose. my mom was really fucking mad during some huge fight they were having and for some reason my mom was in the car in the garage and my dad was outside the car. and she actually threatened or tried to hit him with the car. this was years before I was born so I would never have existed if this incident had gotten too bad.

It is a weird thought to think about all the ways you almost didn't exist.

Their marriage didn't last long after my birth. My dad had multiple affairs and two kids other than me. I met them recently and love them though.

No, they were married and I had two older sisters. They eventually split up though.

Before I was born? No, they took like 14 years of fighting to officially separate. They still haven't gotten divorced 16 years after separating. Their dynamic is weird.

idk, but they divorced when I was four and now i have like five or six siblings I will never meet on my dad's side
