The world is kinda similar where superheroes are common and publicly commercialized as a franchise, the difference is the boys explore the consequences of a world like this and MHA use it as a backdrop for shonen fights.

Eh, not quite. The Boys are actually a few common people that are trying to take down the supes, by all means necessary. In MHA there's no such thing, it's villains vs superheroes only. You don't see a regular non-powered person threaten or go against heroes in MHA.

Also, The Boys is more about politics and corporate greed than anything, even more during Season 2.

It's more like what a real world DC universe would be like. For people to think supe's wouldnt abuse their powers/position for stuff is fairytales for kids. This showcases that; some do have hope of being the "Next Superman", but those are few and far between.
