My friend and I have been playing a lot of Epic Duels, which I think was released in the early 00s. It's a lot of fun, but I want to see what else is out there. Epic Duels is a map based card game where you draw cards and attack the other opponents. I don't know, I don't know much about board games.

ANYWAYS, I want to see what else is out there. I just have two stipulations: can be enjoyable with 2 people(itll likely be just him and I ever playing it) and no stupidly expensive minis figurines to buy. Epic duels has all the minis included, though they aren't super nice or high quality, but still. I don't want to have to deal with added costs in addition to the base game box.

I fucking loved Epic Duels. Played it like 1000 times along with Star Wars Stratego and this Geonosis arena board game.

I don't play board games much these days, but I think Imperial Assault is a good one? But it might be more akin to an RPG I'm not sure.

I think there was a strategy game (Rebellion?) From a few years ago that was also popular.

X Wing, Armada, and Legion are the elephants in the room but not traditional board games, they're collectible miniature games.
