I wonder how unusual this is really going to be from here on out. The new Nvidia graphics cards rolled out last week to earth-shattering hype in the PC community and those barely scratched double digits at most brick and mortar stores. I think we may just be seeing the result of business increasingly moving online.

First, Im getting tired of my phone being all janky with the touchpad. Two, Im worried now that Im not going to get a Series S right away. Maybe Ill get lucky and pull something off on my phone, or the local demand wont be there. I doubt it, though, there are enough XBOX fans in the area.

Living in Belgium, a small country that is mostly PS-focused, I have zero worries! Not that I was planning on preordering any next-gen console anyway.

I'll never forget going to the store to buy GTA V and all the PS3 copies being sold out/waiting for a pickup and a whole bunch of 360 copies being readily available. Good times.

i think a reasonable assumption when you look at low in-store stock numbers for a new high ticket device would be that it's a reflection of an american market that is overwhelmingly online-retailer based and a pandemic hitting the country particularly hard making venturing outside the house for a vanity item like a new console a tough prospect

not, you know, 'microsoft should just abandon their new console before selling a single one'

I don't think we know how much Microsoft intends to ship? I'd assume much less than Sony because Sony is much bigger worldwide.

Anyway, these are US numbers (for one store, although Wario64 has backed up the claim for other stores), so I'd expect them to be fairly similar through to March.

yeah some of the parts are similar or the same, but the reported issue with the PS5 was a smaller than expected yield for its custom chip.

Well, I got mine in from a online retailer. Not super happy with the bundle I got, but I didn't realise Yakuza: Like a Dragon was only coming out digitally on 10 November, with the physical version coming on 13 November, which explains the lack of bundles there.

Also, the price of the stuff I got separately was 7.45 cheaper than the bundle, so that's... great.
