School was in person for two days before a kid got diagnosed with Covid and now the place is shut down lol. Who could have predicted this ??

Schools opened here on Tuesday and there was already a confirmed positive case at a HS on Wednesday.

The kid had gotten tested and still went to school despite not knowing the results.

We're never going to get over this pandemic. We didn't learn from mistakes other countries made. We aren't even learning from mistakes our own country has made.

Each freaking school district is "trying their own thing" and arriving at the same god damn result. Over and fucking over.

yea it is pretty depressing, blows my mind how people seem like they just dont care at this point. and i am in one of the more "progressive" states too

I noticed in an Angry Joe video the other day he said "once this dies down a lil more"....bruh. When the fuck did it ever even start? I thought he was taking it more serious too. People are just starting to lose it

I think "once this dies down a lil more" means "once we are just more used to it and don't care anymore." >_>

They did a total shutdown with one case? Not that that's a terrible idea, considering. Here they made entire classes stay home when one kid had a positive test but not shut down the entire school. So far.

It definitely does. I thought he was taking it more serious until that comment. Then again, I only watch his youtube videos and I might of projected that onto him, cause I usually find him level headed under his persona. It's depressing when people I think are better are proving me wrong. More so my family. But my family respects my decision when I drop harsh standards for myself on them. I watch my nieces for my sister all the time. And I straight up told her, "Just remember, if you send -niece- to school, you lose me as an option". She already works at a bar and exposes me far more than anyone else I hang with. If she starts doubling down, that bridge is burned and Ill rebuild it after. She's lucky I love my nieces so much to begin with. I'm not gonna show it, but that would be such a huge blow to my mental health in this.

They had issues here before school even actually started. Sports teams were spreading it amongst themselves during tryouts/practice. An entire marching band was quarantined because of it. A few football teams. All sorts of stuff.

Yeah. I also got to keep in mind that Im mostly an introvert and I have no kids. I think my one sister gave up cause her husbands mom wouldn't stop coming over and she was exposed to everyone. She probably didn't want that stress of telling her husband he can't see his mom and his mom can't be around her grandchildren. Now she's just completely given in.

But like I said, they respect whatever I say. My other other sister actually talked about having me over in October and she planned it out 2 weeks from her socializing. The love is there, they're just not as concerned as I am overall
