The spiritual successor to Ecco the Dolphin?

No not really, but it's been a long time since we had a decent shark game and they finally gave us one in the form of this shaRkPG.

This game is a parody of a shark week tv show where we follow around scaly pete the world's best shark hunter. On one episode he kills a female shark that happened to be pregnant with our protagonist and rips you from the womb and cuts your body to mark you so he can hunt you later. You repay him by taking one of his arms before escaping to the swamp. From there you eat everything you find a collect collectibles around the world and complete various missions until you grow up from a tiny baby shark (doo doo doo doo doo doo doo) all the way up to a Megashark.

Everything you do gives you various DNA proteins to spend on upgrades you find throughout the game which also change your appearance. They all fit in the tropes of an RPG where you can build a tank, a rogue or a mage and you can mix and match how you see fit.

The platinum itself is pretty simple and only took me about 13 hours. You just need 100% completion in all 8 areas of the map and max out your infamy rank. You can use echolocation constantly and it will mark question marks on the map for anything you do have yet and you can just go and collect them or kill them depending on what it is. If you kill too many humans that calls the shark hunters and you need to destroy a certain amount of those to raise your infamy rank to raise your infamy rank.

Personally I would recommend it if you want just a mindless murdering game disguised as a parody of a shark week tv show.
