The Latest and pretty close to greatest Paper Mario is now 100% complete! First my thoughts on the game itself.

I will say 100% it's better than everything since TTYD for sure.

For reference I like Super Paper Mario. I didn't last more than a few hours with sticker star and I didn't last much longer in Color Splash although I would like to get back to that one eventually.

This one has the best writing of any Mario RPG, not just the Paper Mario games. Tons of jokes that were legitimately funny and even if all the characters are generic Mario characters I have connected with so many of them and they even play with the fact that they're all generic characters. Bobby is definitely is going down as one of the best new characters of 2020 and Olivia has been delightful.

The 2nd and 5th worlds in this game are some of my favorite areas in any paper mario game.

I get that the battle system isnt for everyone but there is progression in the forms oath heart pieces that you find similar to Zelda that increase your HP and attack power. The battle system itself I haven't really gotten tired of it and there really isn't a ton of it to begin with maybe half the amount of battles you would find in a typical rpg. Most of the time is spent puzzle solving in the environments and exploring them because they're pretty big.

Is it better than PM or TTYD maybe not, but it's closer to being as good as those games than it is as being as mediocre/bad as the others IMHO.

Nintendo had a vision when they made this game and they executed on it and a lot of this game just puts a smile on my face when I'm playing it.

anyway THE TROPHIES.

This game has a museum with a built in achievement system and you need to get 100% in everything to get them all. After that you can go beat the final boss again and even get a secret ending which is neat.

There's 15 trophies in total and they're as follows:

1 - Win 200 battles.
2 - Collect 300,000 coins.
3 - Hit every ? Block.
4 - Catch the Legendary Cheep Cheep and the Legendary Blooper.
5 - Win every battle on Scuffle Island!
6 - Clear every level of The Ringer.
7 - Clear 16 levels in Speed Rings at the Battle Lab.
8 - Collect every coin on Eddy River.
9 - Get 100 points in expert mode at the Shuriken Dojo.
10 - Get a perfect score on Shy Guys Finish Last.
11 - Complete the art gallery collection.
12 - Rescue all origami Toads.
13 - Get every Collectible Treasure.
14 - Complete the origami character gallery.
15 - Complete the sound gallery collection.

Hardest one was definitely getting a perfect score in Shy Guys Finish Last. It's a whole 30 minute game show and you have to complete all 12 challenges without screwing up + doing the sudden death round at the end all in one go and if you screw up you need to start over from the beginning.

Hey Nintendo just put in a real achievement system already thanks.
