kindergarten can be from 4-6, but usually around 5 years old.

virtual schooling might end up being the "new normal" in some places, and it's better to at least give kids some kinda guided instruction early on than having them figure things on their own

Yeah, I feel like up to 2nd grade they're likely going to have little benefit unless the parents are heavily involved, but most likely won't be able to afford to be involved in the process.
