I've been playing occasionally with my friends during quarantine at mafia.gg

It's an online implementation of the game that handles all of the moderation of things, so you don't need someone to be the emcee or whatever. They also have a lot of different roles, so I've experimented with a number of different set-ups. We usually play over Zoom, but it's designed to be completely text based in the browser.

Games take <1 hr usually though the speed of it is variable if one team wins a lot faster than expected, etc.
