God hand for the PS2 is going for 100 dollars nowadays

The PS1 FFVII guide is going for like 100 bucks as well

I have the collector's edition guide of Fallout New Vegas, the guide for Ni No Kuni, and FFX-X2 and they're going for 70

a decent amount of games I own, like Splatterhouse and Folklore, are going for around 20-30ish, which stunned me. Maybe I have the trade in mentality too ingrained into my brain lol

There was a preorder bonus figure for Sonic Boom when you bought the game. Our store had like 20 of them, they were legit just laying around. they're going for 40 now. I think we resorted to just giving them away for no reason. rats, should've saved more of them

when did this shit happen?

I don't want to be a downer, but the reason why I started looking shit up is because when my dad passed away, he had a library of books he left behind

He loved reading

he loved learning

but they were all still here

we couldn't sell them, we couldn't donate them, we couldn't offer them to the public library, or hell, give them away to organizations that would redistribute them, like to prisons. We gave as many as we could away. We even took out an ad in the news paper, and in facebook, just to tell people to come and pick shit up.

we only got rid of less than half. We had to throw them all away at the dump. I felt bad. I also felt bad my dad's life was an INCONVENIENCE to us. Not ojnly that, it was a pain in the ass to move these books, books are heavy man. I even apologized to my dad.

but yea, I don't want to be be an inconvenience to everyone after I die. but I know I surround myself with electronics and memorabilia. I figure my stuff would be worth something at least. I worked out a deal with my brother and one of my best friends to get together and sell my shit. hopefully it'll contribute to paying off my funeral or something

so yea, I'm just glad some of this stuff is worth something. Hell, nice to know incase I fall behind on my bills and I have some cushion to fall back on lol

Game and Watch Gallery on the DS is 50 bucks. That was a free game in Club Nintendo so that makes sense. I wish I got the other one

No, I don't do this anymore.

A little ways back a few friends of mine were talking about how their old TCG cards were worth way more than they ever thought, so I decided to go through mine because I had a lot more than any of them. Of course, mine weren't worth very much. (With 1 exception which I sold for a few hundred dollars)

oh, amiibos too

The amiibo craze died down naturally, and reprints didn't help matters

Little Mac and Falcon used to go for 100ish back then

then for awhile they died back down to like 15 bucks

Now they're going for 20-30

I remember the same thing happened with Gold Mario, reprint killed it. But its going for 40

hell, REGULAR Cloud, not AC, is going for 50

Its weird, all of this stuff just got a resurgence of value

you don't do this because you just get disappointed?

The 3 main collectible type stuff I have are TCG Cards, comics and video games & accessories.

-I generally know what the value of my video games are, so no need to.
-Comics I have no intention of ever parting with.
-TCG Cards though I did get frustrated with and said forget it.

Its nice to offload stuff youll never use again. The hoarding mentality is a hard one to break, but its incredibly freeing. Its also nice when you can pick up some cash along the way.

There's some comics I own that I'm looking to sell eventually and it's nice to keep an eye out for when the market is ripe/when I need an extra grand or two

I only actively keep up on what I'm currently collecting. I do know for a fact my current Megadrive collection if sold on ebay could be a downpayment for a house.

I'm surprised at how quickly Wii U stuff rebounded after completely bottoming out last year. Game & Wario is a $60+ game now, Wii Party U usually goes for $40-$50, Turbo: Super Stunt Squad is back to fetching the high prices it got when it was first hyped up as "rare," etc.

No. I don't really have the time or motivation to sell stuff on eBay. Knowing I'm sitting on a potential fortune would just cause undue stress

If you do decide to sell games one day make bulk sales or "lots". Much easier to move product and less hassle. You wont get top dollar for everything but it's much easier
