Re-openings are proceeding moreso by county, not state

Reopening is the stupidest shit I've heard.

They need to keep us on stay at home orders until at least Labor Day or else they're going to have a lot more deaths

If they open the state, they might as well open our buttcheeks too. Make it easier to fuck us.

Our entire state is trending well. Our governor is bragging its the first, but I'm not fact checking her.

Well we didn't have the hellish max capacity outbreak like the northeast so there's that. The tribal areas had problems and still do, but they are doing better apparently. A lot better, I'm pretty surprised.

Indiana is orange so that's better then I feared. I expected Indiana to be red.

Hawaii is Yellow, but the stats are pretty favorable.

Hawaii
Low case count
Rolling 14-day averages from 2 to 0
influenza-like illness: Minimal Level 1
ICU Beds: 35% Low Availability (Makes sense cause Hawaii)
New cases per million: 0
% of test target: 33%
% testing positive: 0.0% Decreasing
Total Covid Cases: 643
Doubling Time (in days): 1558

CT has begun opening: most stores are open now, but capacity is heavily restricted. Restaurants may only seat patrons outside, and all tables must be at least 6 ft. apart.
On June 1st, they're slated to allow salons and barbers to re-open under restrictions. The state is now offering testing for free in many different places and encouraging citizens to get tested if they feel ill or believe they may have been exposed, which feels like a prelude to full-on contact tracing.
Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties were the counties that were most affected(they contain basically all the notable cities and many people living in the former two commute to NYC for work) have all shown a steady decline in active cases for a while now.

Idk man, NM is doing pretty well. The governor's exact words were that we are the first state to meet its reopening goals. First time I've ever felt any pride in being a New Mexican is during this pandemic. Then again, most of the state has not been infected so if we fuck up we will end up with another surge and another shutdown.

Apparently statewide the ICU availability is low, but that's gotta mainly be Anchorage/Fairbanks numbers. Here in Juneau I think all but one or two of the positive tests in the past ~month were confined to our jail. I don't agree with the sudden basically full reopening state-wide that Dunleavy approved, but I think my city's in a good spot to get most things going again.

Nah, my state isn't ready. The cases have been rising- mostly due to idiots and people out of state visiting resorts/bars "to support them". If people have the extra money to support businesses right now- DONATE online to them. Mail them a check if you can't donate online. Much better options rather than going to a place and risking more cases.

Most states in USA aren't ready. A new wave will happen many many places- because people are bored, people refuse to understand things and many still think "its no big deal" and so on. Face masks should be a requirement for all businesses, period.
