I'm done goofing around making joke suggestions of "bad" games for the GOTD 2 field. Time to ask some real questions.

BTW I initially had Melee here instead of Ultimate, but decided on the latter obviously.

Witcher is ultra legit, and is probably at the point where it only loses to the absolutely tippy-top of Nintendo and Square.

I don't know, going like 41% against BotW before rallies and finals vote etc wouldn't make it a favorite against Majora, which was likely SFFd a ton. Majora is basically even to two of the others there.

Ulitmate is the toughest to call imo.

If Galaxy 1 2015 = Galaxy 2 2020, Witcher 3 actually beats Super Metroid. I think that's totally plausible considering Nintendo's rise in fortunes since 2015 plus the further deflation of our votals. That being said, Super Metroid also stands to benefit from the latter, and I need a really good reason to pick against Nintendo in a truly close match at this point.

I think FFX v Smash Ultimate would be another great match (Half-Life v Spider-Man, who ya got?) that I'd robotically pick the Nintendo game in, but both are just a bit outclassed in this fourpack.

Eh I think it was going to be comfortably over 42 or even 43 based on the European vote and its match with Skyrim

There's a lot of ways to interpret BotW's match with Majora and how much SFF and the fact it was a bonus poll played a role

Was not expecting Metroid to be such an overwhelming favorite over Smash. That said, if you plug Super Metroid's result on Majora into the 2010 x-stats and adjust Fallout 3 down 5%, Super Metroid/Metroid Prime becomes a 60-40 match in the former's favour.

How the heck is FFX the favorite over Witcher? It has been a while since FFX won a debatable match.

Witcher 3>Super Metroid

2015 OoT beats Super Metroid by significantly more than BotW was beating pre-rally Witcher. If BotW is even close to OoT (and in all likelihood it is as strong, perhaps indirectly stronger) then I can't see how Witcher drops this. I definitely can't see a path for FFX to beat it, what is up with that?
