"We learned today that an employee of one of our vendors has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19. This vendor employee was last in the dealership on May 10, 2020."

It goes on to say that they can't reveal who it was, but they've compiled a list of people that "worked in close proximity over the past 14 days". We only have a few outside vendors that regularly work there, so I'm betting it was one of the detailing guys (that happen to work in a garage right next to my department). The rest of the email is typical "we value your safety blah blah blah" stuff.

Fuck.

why the excessive verbosity?

Sending an email like "yo! homeboy got the rona *links to coffin meme*" won't be approprite, but why not just call it coronavirus or even COVID-19? Instead they have to go like "the novel coronavirus, COVID-19". Lmao
