best thing about this retcon is that it retroactively makes return of the jedi better!

boba having a fucking dumb death was always one of my huge issues with the movie.

again, it was mostly the way they did it that bothered me. sure, you can kill him off, but in ESB they're like "oh look at this totally badass new character" (yeah i know he wasn't technically new he already appeared in the star wars holiday special shut up) and then in RotJ they're like "oh whoops he rolled into the sarlacc pit like some clown the end."

Hardly a surprise, since George Lucas himself had mandated, Legends or otherwise, that Boba Fett did survived the Sarlacc.
