Janeway totally murdered Tuvix. I don't see how people can argue it any other way than she murdered him in cold blood. This dude:

She murdered him while he begged for his life, explaining that he was his own life form, with his own feelings, and didn't want to be ended. She still murdered him.

His murder is indefensible. I've seen people try to justify it by saying it had to happen to save Neelix, which I say is precisely the reason why Tuvix's death was so especially awful. They had Neelix defeated, he existed no more, and they chose to resurrect him, using a virgin sacrifice like primitive man.

Captain Janeway is a murderer.

I disagree, and this sums it up
When Tuvix was created, Tuvok and Neelix were not considered murdered. Premise: Tuvok and Neelix were recovered by splitting Tuvix. Premise: Tuvix can be re-created by merging Tuvok and Neelix again. Therefore: Tuvix was not murdered as he can be recovered.

Even the actor who portrayed Tuvix agreed that what happened, is what should have happened
"There isn't any moralizing," he observed. "It's just a story about a character, and you follow that character during the time he is alive. You watch the birth and the life and the death of one character in one episode, and there is no struggle between good and evil. It's purely a no-win situation." When asked if he thought Tuvix should be spared the separation at the episode's conclusion, Wright stated, "I think it was inevitable that he would be separated. There would be no drama without that separation. So, I completely agree that he should have been separated."
