IRS took my money from my paycheck. But I had already sent then a cashiers check. And it was used. So, I know they got it. But I can.the reach them. They dont answer the main phone number. So, I have to calm the appointment line and get transferred to actually get in touch with them. But because of the coronavirus, I may not be able to talk to them for a while. So, this sucks. I should have just not paid hyphen and let them take it theirselves if they were going to do it anyway after paying them...

I couldnt do it online due to a mistake that was made (that I was only able to find recently). And it cost like an extra hundred to do it over the phone. So, my choices were limited...

Can you look at your tax account online? Though it may not show the payments yet.

Also, why are you so far behind theyre taking money from your paychecks.

Also, paycheck garnishments dont stop immediately. They have to contact your work first.

I couldnt look online. I was behind because I didnt have the amount I needed at the time. Though, I did have the amount a few months after. But doing it over the phone cost too much, and still couldnt internet wise. I did try to put it at another point, but I used the money for a family emergency. So, when I finally paid it, everything seemed good, and then they took money like a month afterwards. Also, they dont have to contact my job. My job has nothing to do with it. I went to our finance office to talk to them about. They have no control. The IRS guy said he would stop it, but it would take up to a month. It didnt matter since the pieces of shit already got their double-dipped amount.

Yeah. They cant control it. But it still goes through your work if its taken out of your paycheck. Unless. Your work would have gotten an order for the garnishment, but they cant decline it. They just do it.

Maybe it went to the higher ups of the people that pay us, but not to my job specifically. Because they didnt know about it until I told them. But the way the military does pay is different than other places. So, thats probably why. The person that deals with my pay has no idea until I brought in the letter. Same thing happens to everyone. They have to bring the letter so she knows whats happening...
