It's the era of speed and talent, there's a fast pace to the games and a lot of scoring. Playoffs are wildly unpredictable. There's literally no Warriors or Patriots lock season after season, there's always an underdog story, and teams that make it deep that no one expects. It's intense and hard hitting, and has the only meaningful trophy in pro sports. It's been the same trophy in circulation since the league began, and it's passed on from team to team each season, with the players names forever engraved in it. There's a lot of meaning and special history to it, good sportsmanship, and entertainment.
