This text input is lowkey redundant

Apparently they've done a kinda shitty job with covid-19 so could be a place that people are advised not to travel to in non-emergency situations soon

Do it. It's just a flu and you get good deals.

They dont know about the Olympics, which are happening in the summer in Japan.

Just be smart.

i think it would have come and gone largely by april in japan. you're likely a young and healthy guy so coronavirus shouldn't affect you too much.

but be prepared for worst case scenarios such as having to go to hospital, being quaranted for 2 weeks, the expenses arising from that and whether you'd want to go through that in a foreign country

Just keep in mind some parts of the culture are different when it comes to mannerisms. For example, if they hesitate before shaking hands its not that they dont want to, its that theyre not used to it since they normally dont shake hands in greeting.

I'm not really concerned about me personally catching or dying (!!) from the virus tbf. It's moreso that our Dept of Health or Travel or whatever might issue a direction for people not to travel there if it continues to spread. Or the potential for self isolation lol.

My employers sent out a big email about contingency yday and one line said they recommended not travelling to affected areas lol

Thankfully I am not extremely suspect so lack of school children isn't an issue for me

It means they might do a travel ban too, they are trying to contain it

If anything, this just means there's more kids likely running around in public places where you'd be. There's always gonna be the ones who think no school means hang out in public day. More chances of spread
