People carry guns with them at all times. Especially down south, its very common. May want to step out of your liberal city bubble every now and then.

uh yes the real issue is whats with people bringing a gun to a church in the first place? Has nothing to do with a person shooting up a church and then being made to look like a bad guy on the news on tv etc.

Why is everyone even having a gun or any weapon in the first place at a church even if its Texas?

Shockingly the people inside the church are aware that TC's solution of a sign on the door that says "no guns allowed in here" won't actually make the church any safer.

Are you fucking serious?! It's because after the mass shooting at the Sutherland Springs church in 2017, people finally woke up to the fact that the church house is no longer the safe haven it used to be.

It's common.
There was a thing in the paper a few years back about an old guy who accidentally shot someone at church. Gun discharged while they were eating or something. Lol

Yes, they do. If you openly carry, people bring their guns on their person at all times.

Why is this crazy and messed up to you?

Yeah, when I go to church in my home town there's a good chance like half the adult men and many adult women are packing.

Edit: The big debate in Texas has been about concealed carry on campus. Back when the debate was hotter I saw a guy open carrying an AR just outside of campus lines. A couple of police officers were following him lol.

I imagine they are probably pleased with their current church and its rules that prevented them from being massacred in the pews.

God in schools and Gun in Church, like it's meant to be.

Seriously though interesting that God isn't enough to protect a church.

Not carring around a weapon in public including a church.

leave the gun or weapon at home

Guess it's better to be dead than have a gun in church, right? Texas passed a law after the 2017 church shooting to allow guns (with the proper permits) in places of worship.

If the churchgoers who were practicing legal carry followed your advice, they would probably be dead.

Weapons don't work too well for defensive duties when not accessible.

You may not agree with it, but what's the point of having one for defense if you're not going to have it ready for defense. You never know when or where something bad is going to occur, if you did it'd be a very different situation. Might as well just not have it in the first place, if that's the case, then do ahead and not have any of your own and just wait for the good guys with one.

Though I do find it a bit amusing when I see people complain about others having guns for defense, but also accuse police of being corrupt or having too much power with guns... while still rejecting carry. I just don't know.

If you were going to carry a weapon for protection why wouldnt you carry in church? especially when places of worship tend to be prime targets for terrorism.

Well the next asshole in Texas that thinks he's gonna shotgun people in a church is gonna think twice now that some boomer ex fed that might dome his ass 5 seconds after he ups his shit

I don't understand what TC wants? You wanted more victims in the church? You wanted the shooter to survive?

I mean a better stance would be just to ban guns outright than saying 'you can have a gun here but not here' because some unhinged criminal could give a fuck about the law.
