Maybe it happens to just be over-represented because of some people who I follow on social media, but it just seems like a joke that was a funny idea that someone turned into a full time bad idea.

They're alright. If I'm going to read deconstructionist humor of daily life I'd prefer to do it in 15 seconds over 4 panels.
