There are several war action segments for those interested in shoot outs. But the beautiful narrative that really isnt that complicated. Actually straight forward but kills a lot of tropes.

The actors did such a phenomenal job. I think its a role of a lifetime for Reedus. The graphics, the music, the sound. The strand gameplay is awesome too

it sucks that trolls that wanna troll

Role of a lifetime for Reedus? I thought he was one of the worst characters in the game because he barely gets any good dialogue lines. A lot of the side cast were much better. Reedus unfortunately mostly served as a known celebrity face for the main character.

I don't know that playing any game or sim qualifies as a "life experience."

He had a decent amount of dialogue but I think theres more to it than dialogue. His facial expressions, and all around work as the character.

I do agree though, the side was great

What qualifies as life experience and who judges it?

Damn I'm still doing shit in ep 5. I need to beat this game already. I heard Tommie Earl Jenkins puts on an amazing performance towards the end of the game.

When you're playing Death Stranding, just remember that it's not like other games. Kojima's vision is incredibly artistic, almost to the point where you have to be paying complete attention to it to even remotely understand his meaning. I remember carrying a package in Death Stranding (though I can't remember what it was), where I thought the game was absolute bollocks during the mission. Then, I closed my eyes for a second, and all of a sudden the game and task had an entirely new meaning. It was insane the way Death Stranding could just become something so different when you take a look into Kojima's mind.

Another thing you should note about Death Stranding is that it's easy to get a headache playing it. Not because it's a bad game, but because of how many ideas the game is riddled with and how complex they are. Soon enough your head will fill to the brim and the rest will just sound like noise to you. Just turn it off and give it a play the next day.

If you don't like the game, you'll definitely at least enjoy watching through the cutscenes, and picking apart the story itself and all of the artistic values that go into making it the complexity that it is.

Maybe I should have said "I don't think it qualifies," but experiencing something through the filter of books, films or games kind of contradict the "life" part of "life experience." It's certainly not what the idiom means. Actually being a courier in a haunted wasteland would be a "life experience."

Strangely, the cutscenes are the one part of the game I could go without. Kojima has a terrible habit in his storytelling to "tell, not show" which is the bar-none worst possible habit a storyteller can have.

gameplay is great, 95% of the story is great, that one conversation near the end is pure trash, and then the rest is 9/10

If youre that obtuse. Ive spent 8 years of my life traveling with the military. Traveling the world with the money I made from it. Moved across the country to become a cop, and been through a lot of life and death and experiences during it, married, bought a house, etc..

and death stranding is one of my favorite experiences I can remember

Not interested in the least after so many reviews called it boring, not fun to play and repetitive yet slapped 9/10 or 10/10 on it.

I'm not wasting $60 to confirm that its a glorified delivery simulator that Kojima fans are blowing out of proportion.
