Never had one, but a few of my friends did. We played Smash and Star Fox the most.

I just got my old N64 and GameCube from my grandmother. Been stoked as hell to be playing Melee again, but I gotta get a digital converter so the screen and graphics will fit.

Yes, I had one.

Favorite memories were the local multiplayer games, specifically WCW/nWO Revenge and Goldeneye.

I must've completed Mario 64 with 120 stars at least a couple dozen times. Can't say I remember much about my first OoT or MM playthroughs, though looking back I'm surprised I was able to finish OoT as an exceptionally dumb 10 year old.

For me, no other multiplayer has come close to that era of playing Mario Party 2, Perfect Dark, and the AKI wrestling games with old friends.

Are you talking about the final Bowser battle as the 121st star? Or did you get that fabled glitch where your final count says 121 instead of 120?

Still have it. Probably my most played console of all time, not including PC. Also it was my first actual home console, gameboy for trips doesn't count as a home console.

Yes, I had one. Still have it and it still works. The original controller it came with has a completely limp joystick though.

My favorite memory might be getting Mario Party 2 for my birthday and playing it with my cousins. Overall though, my favorite game is probably Majora's Mask. I liked to just goof off in that game because I loved the music and atmosphere so much.

I owned exactly one game for mine: GoldenEye 007. Shit was too prohibitively expensive for kid me, and there weren't enough RPGs produced for it. I ended up trading mine in to a pawn shop and getting a PlayStation with it.

For my part, I got an N64 for Christmas (I'm guessing 1998 or 99) and played the hell out of Donkey Kong 64 on it. I didn't get into Ocarina of Time or Mario 64 until later, but both of those games are great. I think I only ever rented Paper Mario, but that's another classic

There's a response bias. People who had a Game Gear are going to be overrepresented.

I had one.

OoT is still one of my favorite games, but its true strength was in local multiplayer. Mario party, mario kart 64, and of course, my personal favorite multiplayer game on the N64, Super Smash Brothers.

I'm not a FPS fan but I did play a ton of goldeneye with friends as well.
