tldr is that in the 60's a teenage girl got tortured by all the people around her, and then eventually died in a cruel manner. like an entire neighborhood took part in the abuse in a sortof like pack mentality of evil

this got me thinking.....maybe everyone has the capacity to be good or evil, and you could go either way depending on the situations you find yourself in. it's the only way I can find to explain how so many people were able to be cruel to that girl
