in Anchorage, an 18 year old girl was driving and saw a 25 year old woman in the road. she stopped to help and then the woman attacked her. kidnapped her and sexually assaulted her and terrorized her

sad to say, you need to think twice when you consider stopping to help someone on the side of the road. as horrible as that sounds

I helped a couple of people change flats back in the 90's. No way in hell would I ever even consider it today.

The victim realized she might be able to escape if Serradell was asleep, so she pulled into a gas station on East 15th Avenue around 6:30 or 7 a.m., police said. She got out of the car quietly, summoned a gas station employee for help and called 911, charges said. Serradell woke up and took off in the car, police said.

This is sad for me to read. I was stationed in Alaska and absolutely loved it. I often dream of moving back.

Has Alaska gotten worse lately or was it always bad and I was just oblivious?

there is a lot of drug use I guess. I don't know. I don't go out much. but we have murders and rapes and stuff like every state. I've only been up here for about 2 and a half years (used to live here when I was a little kid in the 80's though)
