But right before the P2W aspect came in - Gunbound was so amazing. I'd do lanparties to play it all the time. And you're right - that was pretty early and probably one of the earlier examples of it.
Never heard of Gunz the Duel.

I loved that game. Anything else like it these days?

Not that I'M aware of. I'd play it if there was, though - especially if it had the equipment/stat aspect that Gunbound had but Worms and Scorched Earth and Tiny Tanks didn't.

I played on a private server that had all the p2w shit disabled. The store was there but you couldn't buy anything if you tried it would just say "error" and nothing would happen.

But buying stuff was what made it better than Worms or Scorched Earth! If you're referring to when you purchased equipment with the battle points and not actual premium currency.

I still remember the ridiculous tech. Infinite wall jumps, butterfly knifing, melee shotgun combos. Shit was real hot for a minute.
