I'm trying to imagine a situation where the office building down the street was doing something that I considered morally equivalent to killing people on a daily basis and just being able to live a normal life where I'm like "Woah, I'm very anti the office building, but it just impacts my voting decisions".

Like I'm trying to find a liberal equivalent to this, but something like one of the migrant internment camps is far more complicated thing to "attack" logistically due to location, level of protection, etc.

I know the real reason is that most people aren't inclined towards violence, but I would just think that would lead to people re-framing their pro-life stances in a way that isn't inherently a call to action.

The more liberal equivalent would be eco terrorists who legitimately believe we'll make the world unlivable within a generation or two at our current rate of polluting.

That came to mind, but even though I think eco-terrorism is going to pick up over the next ten years, it still feels significantly different.

Like it'd be different in pro-life people were like "Our current rate of baby-killing is bad", because then there's a defeatist sort of attitude of even if you did something locally it wouldn't change much. But if you believe that all baby-killing is bad, any that you stop are worthwhile.

There used to be more, but the feds cracked down really hard on this some years back. Clinics and doctors still get threats all the time, but they rarely pan out.
