Not in a long time. Even my neighborhood hardly has trick-or-treaters anymore, whereas in the 90s they used to come to our door for candy every few minutes.

My wife and I dressed up for a party yesterday. Not actually doing anything on the night though other than giving out some candy to kids that knock at the door.

These days you only see the little kids who live in the immediate neighbourhood. All the kids that are old enough to go out without their parents go to the newer subdivisions where there's a lot more house and very little space in between them. --- Save for your doomed future ... Usually I take my daughter trick or treating, this year I'll be taking her and my partner's daughter and dressing up myself. We're all being skeletons. My partner goes crazy for Halloween and has been making decorations all month, we've got about 25 pumpkins to carve before Thursday.

Not the day itself.
This month, I went to five different theater showings of Halloween themed movies (Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters, The Lost Boys, Friday the 13th, and Alien). Before that, I went to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. I hit 9 out of 10 houses the first night and all 10 the second night. Stranger Things is the only house I didn't get to do twice. I also played and beat the original CastleVania. As for Halloween itself, I'm scheduled to work and I'll probably end the night quietly sitting by myself and watching a movie. I've still never seen Poltergeist, so I might go with that one. Now... if I win the lottery on Wednesday, that changes everything. I'll quit my job, fly back out to Orlando, and do the horror nights thing a third time around. ... Copied to Clipboard!
