Okay, so this song here, is 46 seconds long and spawned an entire movement, called straight edge. Basically its just people who choose to not do drugs or drink or whatever. But this song is where it gets its name, and some of its attitude. The band themselves never intended for this song to be used as the foundation for a movement, and thus are not really part of the movement even if sharing similar ideals most likely. They also expanded on these themes in the songs bottled violence, in my eyes, out of step and its companion out of step(with the world) where the lyrics were changed from dont smoke/fuck/drink to I dont smoke/fuck/drink to convey the message that this is a personal choice but you can do what you want.

I'm not telling anybody what to do either, but I just wanted to call attention to the fact, for anybody reading this that an entire movement got its start in a 46 second song. How many pieces of music can claim that? This is just a little snippet of musical history i felt like sharing.
