What a bad name no one will want to say or admit that they watch peacock. It would be better to just call it NBC Streaming. Peacock is a stupid name and this service will fail unless they re name it.

Peacock is a stupid name and this service will fail unless they re name it. No. It will fail because it's yet another goddamn streaming service nobody asked for, and there's a finite amount of eyeball-time and streaming service budget to go around. Expecting anyone to float more than three or four streaming subs is just fantasy, and even three itself is a bit of a stretch. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Antifar posted...Wasn't Hulu the NBC streaming service? Yeah NBC was only 10 or 20% owner of Hulu. Fox and ABC/Disney were 30% each and now after the buyout Disney owns the majority, I could see why NBC would want to move away from Hulu. --- I was a God, Valeria. It was said the more "mature" content from Disney/Fox would end up there, but no idea how accurate that is. When I was onboarded at Comcast they showed Hulu in the owned assets during the presentation. Didn't realize they only partially owned a minority.

This comes up every now and then, but just hasn't happened yet - apart from that one time in Poland. because its very early on in the process. these services are just starting. they don't need help getting into homes currently, but when the subscribe/cancel rates start to balance out they'll be willing to share their subscriptions if they're getting paid to do so. There's a reason why they're already starting to dabble with weekly show releases as opposed to the all at once binge process....it forces people to stay subscribed. --- Dallas Cowboys: 1 - 1 ...
