I like how JW2 set up this new dino world at the end. and this was a cool short film about that world. really hyped for 3. I wonder what the plot will be though.

Really fucking stupid that this all because of that dumbass kid from Fallen Kingdom. Honestly I thought that was the end of the JW storyline since I didn't think they would still make 3 after Fallen Kingdom despite always being planned.

did you forget the big twist reveal about that girl near the end of the movie? she's basically a human version of those dinosaurs. she was created in a lab. she feels a kinship to them.

I mean, I get why, but this short movie is the first glimpse at the absolutely devastating effects that decision had. That family would be dead if not for that 8 year old bowing that Allosaurus in the fucking face

It's too hard to suspend my disbelief enough to think that humans couldn't make dinosaurs extinct or at least endangered.

she's not part dino or anythign if that's what you are thinking. she's just a clone of an old man's dead daughter. she was raised by him thinking he's her grandfather. and that her mom died in a car accident when she was a baby. but she finds out she's not her mom's daughter. she is her clone. they used similar methods to make her as the dinos. but she's not a dino. she's human. just a clone

They would've been fine if they would've just shut up the goddamn baby.

I also really don't understand why people would still go camping in a world where they know there's 50-foot theropods roaming around.

Because they didn't expect them to be up there as they were in an area where they weren't previously spotted. The father even asks "How did it get all the way up here?"

That's still far from foolproof logic. Just because there haven't been any sightings doesn't mean they aren't there, or that they're not able to suddenly show up. I wouldn't risk my family's life on that.

So you would all just stay in your house and never leave? But then again, what's stopping them from showing up in your back yard? Like the T-Rex did in The Lost World. The point is, there's dinosaurs roaming out in public now. You aren't really safe anywhere. You could be out shopping at Costco, and a pack of raptors show up.

They'd probably avoid big city areas. You don't see elephants, rhino's and lions roaming the streets of African cities, after all.

But if I were to go out into the woods, I'd at least make sure that I'm heavily armed.

True, but the small jumps cuts at the end of the film prove that the dinosaurs are a nuisance. Like the Pterodactyls crashing the wedding, or the Stegosaurus on the highway. I'm sure that's guys insurance doesn't cover dinosaurs.
