Oh I love TSwift fo sho but 1989 is easily her weakest. Certainly the most poppy, and most accessible, but every song on there is a 3 minute upbeat pop song, often with repetitive choruses designed purely to be catchy. Nothing as lyrically interesting as her best songs on the other albums, and no pounding arena anthems or heartfelt ballads. I like a lot of the upbeat songs, but I can agree on the more powerful songs too.
