Basically, Hero is a volatile character due to his heavy RNG mechanics (1/8 chance of a Critical hit on all Smash attacks; Command Menu can bring out some busted moves such as Hocus Pocus (itself also RNG), Snooze, Bounce, and Whack/Thwack (RNG chance of an instant KO)), as well as the language barrier posed by Command Menu with international players possibly not being well-versed in the language that the game is set to (so it's hard to know what you're selecting, and also hard to react to what's about to be chosen).

I personally think he's a very fun character, but it's also clear that he wasn't designed with competitive play in mind (much like the games themselves, to be honest).

Too soon. I seen a bunch of tourney grand finals and hasnt even won that has been shown so far Guess I got to see a major first I suppose.

There's clips of Hero players killing at 0% at Grand Finals of tournaments. If you check puppeh's Twitter he has clips of what he's done in bracket.
