As soon as a show adds a new "precocious kid" character, it's doomed.

Babies ruin almost every show because there isn't much you can do with them that's interesting. Writers love the drama of a woman being pregnant, but then have no idea how to create good stories after the baby is born.

90% of the time, unless the show is about pregnancy/family life, they write it in because the actor got pregnant, and they couldnt reasonably shoot around it.

Babies ruin almost every show More often than not the show is already on it's last leg and the baby or new person is in hopes of lighting a fire or whatever.
