I'm not a fan of Moviebob at all, but it sounded like he was saying he thought the "entitled fandom > Gamergate > alt-right politics" pipeline theory was a gross oversimplification, which is the opposite of what you're saying he said. It would help prevent miscommunication if he talked slower though.

Yeah. Gamergate was either co-opted into or partially created as an alt-right recruiting tool.

At first I was in passive support of what I thought the message was- "game reviews are generally paid advertisements and/or designed for clicks and not to be trusted"

But over time the community that stuck with it somehow transitioned that into "I hate dumb bitches and the main stream PC culture that tells me I'm being toxic or sexist and that my video games are, too."
