He was kind of a dick in seventh grade but we became friends by the end of it. We hung out a lot that summer and the next year he was sent to some private middle school for getting in trouble too much.

He came back to our school for high school and we hung out a few more times but then he got kicked out of high school within the first few months. I haven't talked to him in probably five years at this point though. Maybe snapped him a few times since.

Damn. My condolences for your loss.
