I was wondering which one to get.

I kind of don't like to work longer than 8 hours, but I want more money.
I also want to listen to the radio at work and sit most of the time.

Should I go to school for any of them or just study the manual?

Its depends on what you want. I got a CDL B because thats what my job required. For that, I studied the book and took a test. So, it just depends on what you need and what you want to do...

I have an A. Definitely recommend the A license, as it qualifies you to drive B.

Not sure what state/country you're in, but the test to get the license likely requires you have a vehicle to test with that represents what you're applying for (for example, if you're looking to get an A license with tanker endorsements, you may need a tractor with a tank trailer for the exam). So, while driving isn't all that difficult, it can be beneficial to go to school if for no other reason than they'll have a truck for you to take the test with.

If you know someone with a truck you can borrow for the test, and you have another licensed CDL operator to sponsor you during your test, then I'd say school may be unnecessary depending on your skill behind the wheel.

Well, the job you want will usually determine the CDL you need. Usually based on the weight. For certain jobs, even in town, you may need a CDL A.
