I love it. There's one game I can't remember the name of that upon leveling up you also knock back any enemies in vicinity. Possibly Champions Online? I feel like no one played that but me lol

Leveling up needs to mean more. Explosion upon leveling sounds incredibly fun as mentioned here, some casual SRPGs' level healing is great (though it can be abused for characters to become invincible tanks).

I love it.
Because it means I can continue hoarding all my items I tell myself I'll use when I REALLY need them. But will die repeatedly over and over refusing to use them because I tell myself.... You know what's worse than not healing on leveling up? Not at least healing your new hp/mp stats, especially if you like to stay topped off. If my hp are 15/20 before leveling, I should be 20/25 afterwards, not 15/25.
