Colder weather is just better than hot weather, because in cold weather you can bundle up. In hot weather, you can only strip so much. That's pretty much the main reason as to why winter is better. EDIT: I guess another reason is that between Black Friday (which technically falls in... uh, fall) and Christmas/New Years, lots of stuff goes on sale so you can get stuff for cheap (or cheaper, at least) --- ... I like rainy days in summer sometimes as a reason to play games instead of go out but a whole season is way more than overkill
