never had a smart tv before and got one recently. and seems like every couple weeks or so I see this notification that a phone is trying ask for permission on my tv. I don't even know what a smart phone in some other apartment could even do with my tv. would they be able to watch what's on my tv, on their phone? I keep denying it, and it keeps popping back up. I can't even tell if they are doing it on purpose or it's the phone auto doing it. cause I know my phone has tried to do similar stuff or asked me if I wanted to at least.

Usually it's to play things from the phone onto the t.v. YouTube, Hulu, pictures, porn, music, whatever.
You get a lust of devices it can detect but they're named like SamsungLN7000-GT4789 or some shit. If your neighbor has a similar tv or fat fingers it may be easy to try and connect to the wrong one. --- PSN: Jiek FFRK: Tyro God Wall KZcv ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's probably for things like Smart View or Wi-Fi Direct in that it allows you to transfer media or mirror your phone's screen on the TV.
