Verdun and Tannenberg they both go out of their way to create an authentic, as much as it can be, WWI experience. Small but decent user base.

Tannenberg is still in open beta at this time.

Dusk and Amid Evil are excellent. If you are a fan of old school Doom, Quake and Heretic I highly reccomend them.

Prey (2017)

That game was fuckin cool!

- Takes place in space, which is always great
- The game environment is huge, and there's tons of stuff to find
- You can build your dude's skills out in different ways, which determines how you deal with certain situations you'll encounter
- Emphasis on using stealth, your skills, and the environment to fuck up enemies instead of just mindlessly shooting
- Interesting enemy design, including enemies that can disguise themselves as random props in the environment (an ability you can get too!)
- Benedict Wong has a lot of VA in it.

Oh yeah, and it has the Glue Gun which is a cool unique gimmick I haven't seen in other shooters.

Dead Cells

Challenging Metroidvania with a near endless amount of weapons and tools and upgrades. Highly addictive combat, beautiful artstyle, plenty of challenges to keep coming back for, and its relatively cheap.

Contact (NDS)

It feels like a spiritual successor to Earthbound, but with... I guess, "semi-real-time" combat. Has a ton of weapons to collect, 10 skills to level (ranging from swords to elements to cooking), and a decent sense of humor in the writing.

That game is in first person, right? Otherwise I feel I'd enjoy it

I made this topic so I could post more about Hitman 2, which is such a great sort of sandbox; the game gives you so many options to take care of targets. I'm going to be replaying this probably until Hitman 3 comes out.

In 1945 the world turned over a new page in history with the closure of WWII. The Allies proved victorious in a conflict that left tens of millions dead, delivered a crushing blow to the former leader of the Western world with the United Kingdom taking a back seat as two new super powers arose, the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

But it did not have to be this way.

Hearts of Iron IV by Paradox Interactive is the latest chapter of an epic grand strategy game stretching from 1936 to 1948 where you, the player, can control the industry, science, politics, economy and military of your nation. Under your watchful eye you can consolidate Nordic power as Sweden before destroying King Charles the XII's old adversary, Mother Russia. PjkChN7

Swedish domination not to your like? Fair enough, it is then time for the Ottoman Empire to rise again and usher in the age of the Grand Ottoman Sovereignty taking its rightful place as the center of the world. m4Xd7Nn

Still not biting? The guide Portugal to Asian colonialism and dominate whoever you want.
gOWMddl

In Hearts of Iron IV the fate of the world lies in your hands. Choose your path carefully.
