My favorite infomercial is the one for "HD glasses" as if real life is actually made up of pixels and the glasses let you see them in HD. Anyone who actually fell for that and bought the glasses is a goddamn moron.

Real life is not made of pixels. You therefore do not see real life in 480p or 1080p or 4k.

Prescription eyeglasses do exist and do help you see better if you have poor vision, but the whole thing about HD glasses is 100% bullshit that is just a sales gimmick to trick people who are completely ignorant about technology and don't understand what HD actually means.

I think they called it HD because it sounded better on the box. I mean there are glasses that can improve your vision beyond simple magnification. It's not literally HD.

Which is exactly what I said. Calling them HD is a sales gimmick....

They are basically just sunglasses. There is nothing special about them. They're just a cheap pair of sunglasses. Prescription eyeglasses help you see better, but sunglasses don't. Sunglasses just keep the sun out of your eyes. Anyone who thinks these glasses actually help them see better are just experiencing the placebo effect.

Normal prescription glasses are HD glasses :P
