The football coach did too.

He was told NOT to show up at the funeral because his bullying contributed to the kods suicide.

So he showed up and then talked smack about the dead kid in Facebook

normally doesn't go, since its a cardinal sin and they'll generally refuse to hold a service for them.

Not sure what they expected from the Catholic Church

In the not so distant past, the Catholic Church would not even perform Mass for persons who committed suicide, nor would they let them be buried in a church cemetery.

So can we say that football players and coaches are garbage too, all of them? Because the football coach pulled a stunt too

The Catholic Church has explicitly stated for centuries that suicide is one of the only unforgivable sins. It's a guaranteed ticked to Hell or a permanent Limbo.

I don't know why the parents are shocked by this. Priests aren't going to abandon one of their central tenants over someone's feelings.

So edgy lmao

Then refuse to do the fucking thing, accepting it and keeping it secret that youre going to shit all over the dead kid (figuratively) and refuse to stop when asked to and to call the kid a sinner that will go to hell is plain mean.

Adding to the family's hurt was the appearance of their late son's high school football coach, who'd bullied him and their other sons, they said. Although Maison's mother, Linda Hullibarger, said she requested through a friend that coach Jeffrey Wood not attend the funeral, Wood showed up anyway, then was asked to leave.

He did so, only to post on social media a sneer at the family's tragedy. That act got the award-winning coach, with a record of 77-38, relieved of his duties by the school district's superintendent, according to a statement posted on the website of Bedford Community Schools.

scumbag fuck of a coach

glad he got fired and h ope he's fucking destitute and homeless

You use to have your head chopped off and it was placed at your feet in your grave, and that grave was not allowed to be on consecrated ground.

I've been to a catholic funeral for someone who committed suicide. The suicide was never mentioned explicitly. This is in the UK where the church tends to be less fundamentalist (IMO). I mean we have female priests and openly gay priests as well.

I've never been on one before but all felt pretty normal apart from a bit about god showing mercy and forgiveness which I've no idea if that's normal or not. The whole incense thing was a bit weird though.

are you sure it was catholic? no matter how loose local catholics are in a place, no women can be ordained in the catholic church, officially. if they were claiming to be catholic priests, I can promise you there were not officially recognized by the leaders in rome
