Do you remember any of your dreams?

I had a dream last night where I was in a college class and didn't have the textbook.

I don't think they mean anything in terms of foreshadowing or predicting the future or anything, but I think they do mean different things that you subconsciously remember.

The classic "not prepared for class" in your case is a sign that maybe you're worried about school, or maybe school wasn't a good time for you or something.

I always have dreams with people I love but haven't seen in awhile. I don't really think about them much when Im awake cause my mind doesn't work like that.

they can show you things that are hidden deeper in your psyche, but just because you do something in a dream doesn't mean you literally would do that in real life. You have to take dreams with a grain of salt.

When I was younger I had a dream that my family and I were in a car crash. It was very vivid and I still remember it all these years later. The next day we were in a car crash and it played out exactly like my dream.

School was great for me though, especially college. My lowest grade in all of college was a C or C+ in Calculus.

I've been having incredibly immersive dreams lately where I can vividly remember them but they aren't that bizarre. It's actually quite entertaining.

Yeah but I mean maybe you subconsciously stressed over homework or preparedness or "did i really study enough" or whatever else

My guess is that dreams are just a by-product of other neurobiological processes such as memory consolidation and "clean-up routines".

I've never really had any stereotypical dreams as mine are usually vivid and bizarre. I don't think they mean anything subconsciously other than as a reflection of your mindset in general.

The opposite is true that my nightmares are really vivid too. I consistently have a variation of the same nightmare: wanting to do something (such as leaving a party where I'm uncomfortable) but I'm unable to, which makes me extremely anxious. These almost always occur at night with unnatural lighting.

The most stressful time was studying for finals in late 2005 (or 2006?) I had 3 finals the next day and had only studied for one of them and it was 11:00 pm. By sheer coincidence, the MTA went on strike an hour later at 12:00 and the college postponed all exams for like 3 weeks.

Dreams might very well predict the future in some ways

Our brains work in mysterious ways. Sometimes there are things that we may not see. Like, many hints pointing toward something that's about to happen, but we don't really consciously make the connection. But somehow we do make that connection during our dreams

Dreams are where our real fears and stresses come out

Maybe. I've experienced deja vu a few times in my life, because something I was looking at, was something I was looking at in a dream.

Oh for sure, I meant like nothing "external" could be predicted that our own brain wouldn't have knowledge of, if that makes sense.
