Do we actually know if the drafts Akira Toriyama provided (that both the anime and the manga are based on) went past the Tournament of Power? For all the talk of the anime "ending" and the manga continuing I haven't heard anything about how much material AT really provided.

ToP was said to be the end of Super, but there was always the expectation of a new series after the movie. The money machine was pretty much just getting started.

yeah, Universe 7 was still categorized as 3rd from the bottom at the end of the ToP in the manga and i don't know if any change happened in the anime. but generally speaking there's enough reason to believe that the top 4 Universes have people stronger than Jiren, even if his universe, 6, and 7 are so stupidly lopsided.

That seemed so off that Universe 7 is the second weakest when 10, 4 and 3 (excluding fusions, and in the manga Aniraza got one shot by Kale anyway) all looked like turbofodder. Hell even the actual weakest universe 9 had the Trio De Dangers who did better than anyone in those universes.

yeah, 7 is just extremely lopsided. even Beerus is considered one of the strongest gods of destruction, should be top 4. the math gets even worse when you remember that Super established that there's only 28 planets with mortal life in Universe 7 and the average rating is barely over 3.

i mean the main fighters should be considered incredibly strong by any universe's standards and we know that when it comes to raw power 7 >> 6 anyway. they're just all the universe has. it's not that hard to get a couple of the higher tier universe to have their Goku, Jiren, Hit, etc type of character and it'd be easy to justify too.

Even lopsided how is that a universe that lost half its team to Krillin and Roshi and the other half one shot by Piccolo, Goku and 17 ranked above... well anyone? Monna is the only one worth anything and all she did was beat up Cabba who's not even that strong, and in the manga Monna did nothing and was eliminated off panel.

I dont think we have any indication that the rankings are by battle power though. Hell, right there in the manga, its 17s wish that elevates U7 in the rankings, not their victory.
