I'm happy to discuss the 2016 game. What's your favorite level so far?

Hmm, probably Sapienza. I like all the different routes it has to get into the target areas (of the story mission anyway) and it's really nice to look at as well. I still have to play the bonus mission in it too so I might do that today.

Also, getting SASO in the Hitman 2 version of it was quite a challenge. Some of the tricks I used in the 2016 game didn't seem to work the same way.

Do you ever try and assasinate every person on a map without getting caught?

Yeah I think it's a clear best of the season 1 bunch for just those reasons. But it has a couple rivals in 2, imo.

That's not my style, I like to be clean and efficient

I think you're the first person I've encountered with that opinion. What do you like about it?

Idk I guess I like the multi level design as well as the local. Sapienza is probably tied with it as my favorite I just didnt want to be redundant and say the same thing. I like Paris a lot as well.

Antifar's official rankings

Top tier
Mumbai - Everything about this level is so great. There's a lot to explore, but it doesn't feel overwhelming, and the ways the targets intersect and interact really put it on another level.
Sapienza - There are so many routes into the mansion and lab, and so much more to explore when it comes to escalations and contracts.

High tier
Paris - There's a nice dichotomy between the two targets, one always on the ground floor, one on the third floor, but there's an openness to the level where those aren't totally shut off from one another
Colombia - I wish there was more verticality to it, but otherwise I really like this. The targets are kinda isolated from each other, but there are disguises that work in multiple areas and infiltrating them is really fun.
Isle of Sgail - I've only really played this once, but it has a lot of verticality and I think I'll really like it when I get to know it better. Might be higher before too long. The setting is super cool.
Hokkaido - This plays on the usual formula of disguises determining your access to areas in a really cool way, but as you explore you can find cool ways around that fact.
Miami - I love the race track setting; the first trailer for Hitman 2 basically made me mark out. The race being ongoing is a cool twist that makes up for the map really being two separate halves

Fine tier
Marrakech - A lot of people don't like this, but after a few tries I realized that there's more to it than just two isolated places you have to get into. Still wish it did more with its market area and the cafe; the night version explores that more.

Meh tier
Bangkok - This has the same basic idea as Paris, but the targets are even more separate and there are fewer routes to the top.
Vermont - It's a change of pace, but it just doesn't feel like there's too much to it, owing to the scale. Only one runthrough so far, nothing impressed me too much
New Zealand - The mission does some cool things, but it's just so small. Maybe there will be a bonus mission that adds to the map, but right now I don't feel any urge to play it beyond the three times I have so far.

Bad tier
Colorado - Everything wants to kill you, and there's more of it than usual. Also it's terribly flat and has some odd rules about which disguises are allowed where

New Zealand is the best tutorial stage the Hitman series has ever had IMO

It's small, but still open enough for someone to really dig into it and get a mastery of the mechanics without it being too hand holdy.

Ill agree Colorado sucks. The sniper mission in patient zero is the only fun thing about it.

Honestly, I feel like Hitman and Hitman 2 levels are kind of lame.

Yeah, they're big. But they lack all the character and atmosphere of the original games.
