and find out years later what they were actually saying? In the original Baldur's Gate, the first npc you talk to, is an innkeeper in the starting town, to buy some equipment. and when you click on him he says "my hotel's as clean as an elven arse". when I was younger it sounded like "as clean as an old vanarse" and I always wondered what an old vanarse was. then one day I figured out what he was really saying and it made much more sense

It is a word in spanish, which roughly means fizzle out. So that's something!

I misheard a lot of what the elites said in Halo 2.

In the first Xenosaga when Momo did one of her special attacks I heard Mystic Powers! Rip them a new one! In either 2 or 3 it was easier to hear that she actually said Mystic Powers! Grant me a miracle! I prefer the misheard version.

I misheard a lot of the voice lines in pokemon puzzle league when I was growing up. Probably my favourite was Koga's "Work harder, young one" which for a long time I thought was "Work harder, you lump"

In dragonball budokai, there was a bunch of weird yells in that one. I swear one time, I heard krillen say "See ya late--", it might be "Feel it"

The first star fox i remember the pig guy saying "Your daddy screamed real good before he died". But every other time i played the game recently he always gets cut off before he says "He died" as some censor ship.

More of a mandela effect thing than a misheard line, but i always remember the entire line when i was younger.
