I think that's probably a good decision. I admit, though, the Switch has been slightly disappointing for me so far. You know, one of the two games I bought it for still hasn't been dated, much less released.

If you gotta save up for the Switch you're gonna have a bad time. It's a hell of a money sink:

Pro controllers are $70, and you'll eventually want one because the Joy-cons are just slightly too small to be comfortable for long-term playing

Games tend to be more expensive on the Switch than anything else: like I bought a used copy of Doom for $45 when it could be had for $5 on PS4 & Xbone and like $20 on Steam

Extra docks are NINETY FUCKING DOLLARS which is ridiculous, and third-party docks are notorious for killing Switches due to the thing being temperamental with third-party power supplies

Extra Joy-cons are $80 per set, too, because why not

Aaaaand your old controllers, your Wii remotes and your Wii U controllers are completely incompatible. The Gamecube -> Wii U adapter does work but it's very YMMV, and it's missing buttons the Switch expects since it recognizes it as a standard USB controller. So anything where you need the L1 button, or the clicky sticks are out.

I could always rent games from gamefly
Why would I need an extra

The joy con and controllers can be an issue, that's if I want more people.
