like what if you could have like 8 or more players instead of just 4? if they had online play for the full map games instead of just for minigames, they could have like 10 maybe. the only reason it was 4 originally was cause that's how many controllers the the n64 had. but modern online games can have like 30 people or more sometimes. back in the 2000's I used to play Battlefield 1942 and that had 64 players on a map

i'm not sure the mario party games themselves would improve because the pace is built around having four players and having more would slow the game down a lot.

but i don't think it's a bad game idea in general. it just needs tuning.
